God's gift: Jesus and the Great Exchange

Okay, let's look at it in words, then pictures.
And if you have any time left, we'll cover some Questions & Answers.

Here's The Situation:
When we were born, none of us had any idea of who God is and what he has done for us. (Psalm 51:5 "Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me.") (Romans 3:23 says, "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,")

God, however, loves US and wants us to be restored to him. He told us so himself in John 3:16... ("For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.")

  - We give to God all our sin and he puts it on Jesus.

  - Jesus pays for our sin with his perfect life, his innocent suffering and death.

  - By the resurrection of Jesus, God gives us a huge
PAID IN FULL stamped on our sins, and we gain eternal life... starting NOW!

Let’s Explain It More
Thoroughly With Pictures

No two people are alike. Not even identical twins are precisely the same. Over six billion people are alive today, and countless billions more have already lived their lives and died. And every single one was different.

Yet for all our differences, there are many ways in which we are alike. One thing we all share is a need for a Savior. From the moment of conception we are all sinners condemned by God for our lost condition. Certainly, being condemned by God is a very scary thought. Yet there is hope. First, though, let's ask:
Why does God have any reason to condemn us?
+ Holiness
    - Sin
= Life
When God created the universe and everything in it, it was perfect. When he created the first man and woman (Adam and Eve), it was perfect and complete. Creator and created were in perfect harmony with one another. There was no evil, no conflict, no sin. And without sin, there was no death. (Read Genesis chapter 1)

So far, so good. (In fact, so far, so perfect.)
The Way God Sees Us
- Holiness
    + Sin
= Death
It didn't last for long, however. Very quickly, Satan tempted Adam and Eve into doubting God and they sinned. In sinning, they lost their perfect relationship with God. Lost it so completely, that all holiness (belonging to God) was lost and eternal life had been given up for eternal death. (Read Genesis chapter 3) We're now in deep. Really deep. Even worse, we're unable to get ourselves out of the eternal damnation to which God condemned us.

"Be holy because I, the Lord your God am holy." (Leviticus 19:2)

"Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is Perfect." (Matthew 5:48)

"Whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it." (James 2:10)

"Your iniquities have separated you from your God." (Isaiah 59:2)

"The wages of sin is death." (Romans 6:23)
